The tamales showed up hot and unapologetically comforting, the chicken adobo had that slow-cooked, “someone’s grandma would approve” depth, and neither lasted long on the table. It’s the kind of place where you stop talking halfway through the first bite both out of reverence and because your mouth is busy.
This place is seriously the best. The head chef Damien is incredible and our server Emilio was equally incredible. The food was absolutely to die for. I had a veggie omelette, my daughter had a pancake, and my husband had the breakfast burrito with Christmas. We loved it so much that we decided to go back every day during our vacation. Please do not miss this place. It is an absolute diamond in the rough. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Thank you so much to everyone at Palacio for treating us like family members and welcoming a Santa Fe native (me) back home.
The food was great. As in, I don't think that I've ever had better Mexican food. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was very chill with great guitar music playing (not live). We plan on going back again before we leave Santa Fe.
