My family tried Patacon in Youngsville for the first time. Seriously, their cuisine packs some bold Latin flavor. Delicious dishes and friendly service.
We got two of the crispy patacon sandwiches: chicken and brisket. Both were delicious but the brisket was fantastic. They were affordable and pretty huge; we had to take the leftovers home. The place itself was pretty small and unassuming but well-maintained and clean. The guy working there (maybe the owner? unsure) was super nice and answered all our questions. Can't wait to go back!
I used to frequent the first location near ULL while in grad school in Lafayette ten years ago. I live out of state now but came back to Lafayette area recently and decided to try their second location in youngsville. The food still tastes great after all these years! Definitely recommend you try this restaurant out for the unique, delicious cuisine they serve. I ordered the Reina Pepeida arepa and Reina pepeida patacon. Both were delicious.
