This is my new favorite local spot! I always imagined being in a city like NYC and having that local, comfortable place to go with your friends, read the newspaper (if anybody does that), or work on a book. It is even better when the food is incredible. Peri Peri Chicken stimulates those types of emotions within me. Solid vibe. It is clean, comfortable, the menu is very legible and clear, and the staff are very friendly. The chicken is astounding! Delicious. I've had the rice bowl and chicken quarters. There are five levels of sauces. Hot is equivalent to a standard buffalo. Extra hot has a good kick, but it's extra hot from an American perspective— not for foreigners. The flavor is exceptional, and the portion sizes are solid. The standard French fries are also very spiced and seasoned well— I didn't even need ketchup! Go to this place. Businesses seem to come and go in this spot. Go support this local business!
I ordered "Hot" but it wasn't spicy at all?!? (I mean not even a little bit) The chicken was bland and almost flavorless. Maybe they forgot to dip it in sauce? Also, would have been much better if it wasn't reheated. People talk about the good prices here, but, I can get a whole rotisserie chicken for about $6 from places like Lucky's Market. For the price I paid, I wouldn't be happy unless the chicken still had nicely crispy skin from being freshly cooked and full of flavor (which was why I wanted to try something like this or Nando's in the first place "Peri Peri" chicken is supposed to be boldly spicy and full of flavor?!?). I did like the coleslaw at least. Makes no sense this place got 5 star reviews - I guess most "Google Guides" simply have NO BUSINESS leaving ratings and should probably have that ability removed. Anyone who leaves only 5 star and 1 star reviews based on if they simply like or dislike isn't qulified in the least, but, sadly, Google does absolutely nothing to ensure decentl quality reviewers are used to establish ratings. 🤷🏼♂️
The Loaded Fries are a must-try! They are easily some of the best I’ve ever had, with a perfect balance of crispy fries, plenty of chicken, and a generous amount of cheese. For a side, the corn is excellent—beautifully charred and well-seasoned. I also sampled the wings, which were delicious and definitely worth ordering. Overall, a fantastic meal with high-quality flavors.
Great service, wonderful food, and great environment! Came in with a big group and they got our orders out fast. Also had a yummy chocolate cake!
A Hidden Gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing place with incredible food! We ordered the chicken wings, quarter chicken, and the amazing chicken sandwich burger (hot) – all packed with flavor. The garlic bread was a perfect side. Hassan, our host, was fantastic and even surprised us with a delicious dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. This place feels like a better version of Nando's – similar vibe but even tastier. My wife absolutely loved it, and we both highly recommend stopping by. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
You guys... Just look at the photos I took. It's seriously good and I'm so glad we have a few more options for Per Peri in Columbus. I was able to meet the owners and they are very gracious people, one from the UK, who thought we didn't have enough of this flavor in town- she was right! You definitely must try if you haven't had Peri Peri chicken before, it's such a burst of bright flavor and balanced heat. Honestly if they could bottle their sauces and sell that, I'd keep a steady supply in my kitchen.
Bold, vibrant flavors inspired by South African and Portuguese cuisine take center stage here. Their signature flame-grilled chicken, infused with zesty Peri-Peri sauce, is cooked to absolute perfection juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor in every bite. The owners are an incredible couple who bring genuine warmth and family-style hospitality that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. This place isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience.
Sit down service is available at the Summit St. location. The chicken was amazing...juicy, flavorful with just enough char to add and not overpower. Service was on point & didn't have to wait long at all. Tried the Hot Sauce my first time. If your into flavorful spice with a little kick, i would start there (Be Bold!) The rice wasnt top-tier, not bad, i just expected more since the chicken was sooooo Good!! Clean space even with the snow/ice/slush everywhere outside (went in Feb)
