All of the young ladies who served us were sweet and kind and they really gave us extra tendons when we paid for extra tendon. Unlike other pho places when you and for extra and they only give you like two pieces of tendon. It was too much pho noodles for me but they also gave a lot of meats which was worth it. I will def comeback here again.
First time trying Pho Madame, drove all the way from Downtown Sacramento just to try it and it was worth the drive and the price. This isn't your typical hole in the wall pho spot, this is elevated and meticulously thought out. The staff welcomed me right as I walked through the door, brought out water right away, allowed for ample time to review the menu, and asked if I had any questions about anything. The menu is small and concise which means they do a few things but extremely well. The pork and shrimp spring rolls come with a fried garlic peanut sauce and I didn't even finish one of them before jumping into the short rib pho. The meat slid right off the bone and easily tore apart with chopsticks but they provided scissors to cut through the tougher parts, and they provided a run with a good chunk of meat in it, not just the bone that you have to gnaw on yo get any meat off of. The broth is definitely homemade and didn't appear to use any instant pho bouillon like Cot Pho Bo or Bao Long Beef Flavor Seasoning. It's super rich in flavor and has the right amount of fat to provide that necessary unctuousness. It's served with the typical Vietnamese herbs but they also included culantro AKA sawtooth which is rare to see in Vietnamese restaurants. I think the star of the whole place is their iced Vietnamese coffee, it's a good amount of coffee to sweetness but isn't overly powerful. The server said to let her know if it needed any adjusting, which shows the level of care they have for their patrons. My only complaint is that I live Downtown so it's a drive for me to make it up there but well worth it. Price point is on the higher end for Vietnamese food but again you're getting an elevated version in a nicer setting that isn't close to other Vietnamese restaurants. This isn't a copy of Pho Bac or Pho Xe Lua or even Pho Saigon, this is Pho Madame and she deserves to have some respect put on her name.
Tried this place for the first time, it was a Sunday and they’ve just opened. The lady who welcomed us and took our order was friendly and warm same with the guy who served all the food. The menu was simple, which I liked compared to the others who have a lot that you can’t decide which ones were good. We had their Pho, two of their specials, one rice meal with pork chops and the spring rolls for our appetizer. We enjoyed everything same with the ambience of the place which is classier compared to the others. Overall, we were happy with the experience.
