We have been there a couple of times and it is a Salt of the Earth dining experience with no frills, almost like dining in an antique mall. But it is one of the better choices on the area.
The patty melt was good. Not great. Not bad. Small burger. A handful of fries. Root beer float would have been better without all the ice on the ice cream. Very cool atmosphere and staff were friendly.
we are in the process of building a house a few miles from here and this is my "go-to" restaurant when we are in the area. the owners are so friendly and amazing. the cheeseburger is better than most restaurants. the patty melt is worth a try, it could use some mayo. the sub sandwiches are delicious with Italian dressing on them. i still need to try the pizza, but they smell incredible. the owner was giving out samples of a Frito pie pizza and it was surprisingly awesome, i would definitely order it. my daughter loves building her own 6-pack of root beers.
