See All ReviewsI have to say this place here is my favorite barbecue place to go to. I'm from Lubbock, Texas and I don't mind making the drive over there just to eat the juiciest, most moist, melt like butter in your mouth full of flavor, big back status brisket. I have to say the ribs are amazing too and their sides are very delicious, I especially like the cabbage and their brisket mac and cheese. I have to say this place here's brisket beats Evie Mae's hands down.
The wife and I had heard about this place and wanted to try it. So, Saturday morning we headed over to make sure and get there early before they ran out of anything. We got there and had no wait to go in and order. All three of us had the one meat plate with brisket and sides. Everyone had the beans and potato salad except me and I got the beans and the brisket mac and cheese. The boxes were all the same but the one my wife ended up with had quite a bit of fat. More than the other 2 boxes. The barbecue sauce is great as well. One negative for us is that drinks are served in cans or bottles. Not sure what we paid for the tea, water and Coke Zero. The one meat plate is $19 and does not include the drink. The portions on the sides are ample as well. It was a great meal. Good friendly people and a nice place to sit and eat. However, because of the price it isn't a place we will go back to. For 3 of us to eat, after tip it was $72. That is just a little steep for me. Give it a try, you might be a big spender and the price won't bother you.
We got brisket sandwiches. The taste was amazing! It's a far drive but we will definitely go back!
