Food was good but service was a bit lacking. The window and window sill next to our table were dirty. Overall, it was okay to go have lunch.
We were excited to try this but were disappointed. No chips and salsa to start. Then kinda expensive for what you get. $16 for a chicken quesadilla is steep. Food was good but not great. We all left still hungry.
Enjoyed an evening meal with friends. Recently relocated back to Harlingen. A while when I worked at TSTC we would come to Platillo's for lunch. We always had terrific service and great food. Tonight was just like old times.
We didn't care for the food. I paid $12 for a salad with grilled chicken thinking it would be a big salad. No it was not. Still hungry when I left.
I have never had a bad experience in a Mexican restaurant but this place was just horrible. Opened at 11 got there at 11:20 ordered taco soup. Cold no flavor watered down. Other customers got chips we were just overlooked.
Had the fajita quesadilla food was good, service was good, I was serviced by the older gentleman I didn't catch his name
Stopped here based on a local recommendation. Lots of seating if you want to stay. I got mine Togo. The food was hot and had lots of flavor, not greasy. For 2 tacos, there was more food than I expected. It was filling and satisfying. Even the beans were great and I don't usually care for borracho beans. It came out fresh so it took a little while but no longer than most places. The staff were helpful and patient. I'd love to try some other dishes here!
This was my first visit. Had the mole enchiladas. Very tasty 😃 I thought the rice was very good as well as the beans. No real lemonade, only bad thing. Would definitely come here again. Oh, tacos al pastor aren't really that; they are more like fajita tacos. Had the cheese enchilada plate and it was tasty.
