First time in here! Love the atmosphere. Family owned. Perogies are amazing & so are the deviled eggs!
Authentic Polish cuisine and a amazing bakery with incredible deserts. The server was very friendly and attentive. The kitchen made an error and under cooked my food. The manager apologized and brought me a new perfectly prepared dish and even took it off my bill. I thought that was great because most restaurants will not do that. I will definitely be back.
Polonia's reputation speaks for itself. This has become our new favorite place after our friends gathered here last night. Being patient with our large party, the staff was very accommodating. The food was spectacular in flavor and presentation. The creations from the Chef's current love affair with apricots I hope become a mainstay. It will also be so easy to fall in love with the bakery-for personal and special occasions.
I had the pork cutlet dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus tips and it was amazing!!! Friendly and fast service. Super clean restaurant with a family atmosphere. My first time eating here - can't believe I've been missing out all these years. Next time I'm going to try the stuffed cabbage and potato pancakes!
The most delicious homemade food. Everything is so fresh and good. The homemade sweat bread and rye bread are to die for. The deserts are also homemade and to die for. Before discovering this restaurant, my husband and I only ate at home because we like fresh, real food. Now, we eat at Polonia several times a week, both in and take-out. The staff is always friendly. The owners are very nice. The only shortfall is that we cannot get breakfast there 7 days a week. Breakfast is only served on Saturday and Sunday, but it is a real treat!
My first time to try this place because I've heard the food is great. Well, we waited for an hour and a half to get our food....we should've left then. When we got our food, it was the wrong order. Then we had to wait again to correct it. The cabbage was mushy, sauerkraut tasted worst, kielbasa was okay... the pierogi was good but too greasy. Also, the manager was rude and did not apologize. I give this place an F for service and food rating. I definitely won't be back.
I saw this place advertised in the clipper coupon book, double deals and on groupon and couldn't wait to try it. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner, first time for both going to a Polish restaurant. We went in around 9pm so it was pretty quiet. Our server Sebastian was great, as were the other 2 ladies working. We got the potato pancakes as an appetizer, a must try! He recommended the soup of the day, sausage, cabbage, and meatballs, loved it! I tried a south African Mead wine, sweet and delicious. I had the sampler, all of it was fresh and hot, full of flavor. My boyfriend had the wanaki, another must try! We were so stuffed we didn't stay for dessert, but took a raspberry chocolate cake to go. The selection in the bakery case makes you want one of each. The whole experience was superb and very affordable. Can't wait to go back.
Great food here! Prices are about $10 an entree. I really like everything I've tried there so far and it seems like very authentic food - that may be because everyone working there has a heavy polish accent. If it's just an act they should keep it up 'cause I'm buying it. Great perogies!
