There's a reason why Pond Street currently has all 5 star reviews and that's because it's So Freaking Good. I've worked in the industry before and spent a lot of time in restaurant kitchens and it's obvious to me that Chef Benny is very dedicated and intentional about his craft. He's not just tossing orders out, he's doing his best to insure that every dish is the best possible thing he can make. There are some previous reviews, where the reviewers are downright poetic in describing their experience eating at Pond Street, and I get it now. During my most recent visit I had to stop and pause and have a moment with my chicken sando and examine why it was making me feel happy. And it was because I could taste the care and dedication that went into making it, a hug in a furikake dusted bun. So go to Pond Street and feel happy. P.S. shout out to the staff at the V.F.W. for their warm and friendly attitude and great service.
Love the food here! Everything is so fresh and the execution is spot on. The chef here definitely knows what’s up and keeps things straightforward, yet always creates really interesting flavors. Can’t wait to get back over soon for more of the deliciousness!
