4 months agoI am a chef from out of town, I always look for restaurants that are off the beaten path. This was one of the best restaurants with homemade food that I have ever had. I strongly suggest everybody go here and try it. We got our food to go everything was homemade Good price simply delicious. I could not find one thing wrong with anything that we got. We purchased the meatloaf that came with rice, collard, greens, outstanding, sweet potatoes, Black Eyed Peas, outstanding, cornbread and they have a special sauce that is meat, ham, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, and they put it in shrimp and grits, but I cannot eat shrimp so I wanted to try it and we put it on top of rice with extra meat and this should be a new menu item for them. The food was made to order. We only waited 25 minutes and we were on our way I didn’t get a chance to thank them or tell them how delicious this food was if you go to the zoo or ever go through Sanford I suggest you look at this restaurant and stop there. One of the owners was running the window and obviously the other one was this truly truly was an outstanding Food experience. . 11 months agoloved this cute little southern spot in sanford, beautiful scenery, restaurant is very cozy and nice, the service was amazing and the food was very affordable and big servings!! amazing spot definitely come here if you’re visiting the area.

Edited a year agoThe Asian cashier lady was rude to me when i first walked in an told me cash only with a unpleasant tone and this was the first time i had even stepped into this establishment I replied calmly ok and proceeded to make an order. She was impatient and still being rude i had to let her know she wouldn't talk to me in that tone. After that she got an attitude then started mumbling under her breat. The food was ok at best i definitely won't be visiting this place again.

4 years agoHad the fried Catfish, with collard greens, cabbage with bacon, and rice and it was amazing. Well worth it.
