This is a great place! It is located inside of the Boba shop and can be a bit difficult to locate if you're looking for signage. The owner is very friendly and made sure we were getting just what we wanted. I love the fact that they have a vegetarian version of chicken, and can substitute it into virtually any dish on the menu. To make the options healthier, you can make a poutine-like dish with baked or mashed potatoes. Ask for extra veggies if you want it to be more like a salad / plant-forward. Otherwise, the vegetables are mostly there for a flavor accent. It's hard to imagine another restaurant being able to whip up a vegetarian butter "chicken" poutine with cheese curds over mashed potatoes. Yes, butter chicken as in the Indian dish. Although at first this filling concoction might sound bizarre, the flavors were entirely complementary, and it was as gratifying as the best comfort food should be. On reflection, the plate had a distinctly UK-Canada mash-up sensibility going for it - I suppose butter pairs nicely with more butter. (On that note, the mashed potatoes were delicious and very well prepared; definitely they are not the rehydrated KFC version I feared.) The interior of the establishment is no-frills and everything is served in to-go containers. It was perfect for a picnic in the Forest Preserve. Recommended!
Food was fire. 5/5. Amazing taste. Very flavorful. We got the crispy chicken poutine. It hits so hard.
