I grabbed a variety of street style tacos. Choice of various meats topped with onion and cilantro on two corn tortillas. Served with red and green salsa in a plastic container ready to be poured on for every bite. My only complaint would be that my horchata tasted a bit over sweet with some undertone of another fruit as if the serving machine had been previously used for some other agua fresca. Small star deducted, but overall I thought the food was great! Will definitely think of this spot the next time I'm travelling between Chicago & Detroit and could use some leg stretches and tacos. 'Til next time, cheers!
My husband and I shared the appetizer platter and birria quesadilla (picture only shows half of quesadilla). So delicious! And so much food!! The birria was tender and super flavorful. Everything was hot and fresh. Salsa was spicyyyy but delish. The guac was so good. All in all a great meal for this pregnant gal and we'll be back for their taco special on Mondays!
I was referred to Quekas Authentic Mexican Food on E Cork St, Kalamazoo, MI, by Julio, a seasoned Mexican correcaminos who would drive miles for their tacos de birria. Mexico was indeed in Carmen's hospitality and food. Natalya, my wife, went for the Aztec soup and I for a bowl of pozole left over from a big wedding order and, of course, the tacos de birria. We were not disappointed and it was well priced.
