See All ReviewsGood food and great service, but disappointed with pricing. The food was genuinely good, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was fun, clean, and welcoming, and overall the prices seemed reasonable — except for the queso. I ordered a large queso for the table (1/2 a velveeta block). Got the bill and it was $12.99. It was definitely not worth that price. My two‑taco plate with rice and beans cost the same as the small bowl of queso, which didn’t make sense. I spoke with the manager for a while about it, but he wouldn’t budge and simply told me I should have looked at the menu first. That response left a bad taste in my mouth, and honestly, it’s the main reason I probably won’t return. It’s a shame, because the food and service were solid — but the pricing on that item and the manager’s attitude were disappointing enough to overshadow the good parts.
Food was okay. Tex-mex for sure. Food was hot. Salsa was good and spicy. If Tex-mex is what you are looking for come here. Someone please let me know what you think about the trio-appetizer for 10-11 dollars.
Okay, I'm a little biased from Southwest Texas so Im just a bit picky when it comes to TexMex. We had the chili conqueso to start. I thought it was impressively good with lots of cheese, lots of beef and guac. Really great and a good sized portion. I followed up with a beef chili relleno. and my hubby had Larry's plate. One of the best chili rellenos I've ever had. It tasted like they took a fresh poblano pepper and battered it here AND .... THEY DID! Relleno was jammed packed with flavor and beef. It was all super fresh. Both my relleno and his enchilada had a lovely red sauce with plenty of chili powder as is right and proper. His carne guisada taco was nice, with tender meat, maybe a little mild. Service was outstanding. Full service bar. Nice split between a restaurant and a sports bar. Overall super high marks.
