Our first time here since we aren't from Corpus Christi and let me tell you we weren't disappointed in the food at all. It took awhile to receive our order but that's okay because we all order just about the same thing which came out to a lot of seafood. So to me the longer it took just told me it would be fresh and not something that had been sitting there all day long. And YES, that first bite was fresh and hot and you could tell just how fresh the seafood was. Being from San Antonio we can't get fresh seafood right from the ocean, we can only get store bought. And you can tell the difference when you bite into fresh versus store bought. Next time we come to Port A and Corpus Christi, we will be coming back to Red Boat Seafood for their fresh amazing seafood.
Definitely a "hole in the wall" feel (small but clean and cozy) but well worth your time to check it out. Got the 4-fish, 4-shrimp plate. More than enough food. $15 Inc a bottled soda. Comes with fries and a roll. The fish was fresh and piping hot. Not greasy at all. The fish and shrimp were cooked in a light and tasty batter. The handsome and witty manager will enhance your eating experience! A good experience. Don't discount this restaurant when your in the mood for fresh fried fish and shrimp.
I’ve heard my girlfriend rave about the food at Red Boat, insisting I’d enjoy it. Well, she was wrong — I didn’t just like it, I absolutely loved it. As someone who appreciates quality ingredients and flavor execution, Red Boat exceeded expectations on every level. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and unpretentious — a place that puts its focus where it belongs: on the food. The seafood was impeccably fresh, perfectly seasoned, and clearly prepared with both passion and culinary precision. Every dish reflected thoughtful technique and respect for the ingredients. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, a gracious and genuinely kind gentleman who clearly takes pride in his restaurant and its reputation. If you’re looking for bold flavors, top-notch seafood, and an experience that speaks to both quality and care — Red Boat is a must-visit. A hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets.
