Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. Don’t let the front of the building fool you. Everything was great from our server Eric to Red Grouper Bites, Coconut Shrimp, Scallops and the Buffalo wings. Everything is homemade and good. Jim one of the owners stopped by our table and talked to us. Very friendly and relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back when we are in Venice.
We have visited this establishment several times and it is a place for the most part we thoroughly enjoyed. But when we went this last time it was a little disappointing first off we ordered 2 glasses of wine, a bowl and a cup of chowder, we always split the big fish haddock sandwich and up graded this time to onion rings as a side..we were told by our waitress there would be a $5. Split plate charge for the fish sandwich and $2.99 for the update grade of onion rings which was a total of 4 onion rings on the plate seriously! They ended up waiving the plate charge as they should of our bill was 78.plus dollars! It is not like we went in there and had 2 waters and split a sandwich...it will be a while before we revisit this establishment!
This place feels very local with a regular group of lunch and dinner loyalists. Very relaxed where staff remember faces. Once a drive through Chinese restaurant this place was repurposed years ago and made their lane. A small counter bar area surrounded by hi tables and booths this is comfort food from burgers to a wide range of seafood options. Worth a visit.
