See All ReviewsI visited this place about six months ago and had a 5-star experience — great food and good service. However, my recent visit was disappointing. I ordered a cachapa with pork to go, but they gave me one with shredded beef instead. It wasn’t bad, just not what I asked for. The portion was smaller than expected, and the flavor was pretty average. I felt a really heavy atmosphere while waiting for my order: I was also the only customer there, yet I didn’t feel welcomed at all. Sadly, this visit didn’t live up to my first experience.
Been missing tequeños since I left miami, happy to have found this place. The waitress Yohanly was really really helpful in helping decide between which arepa to get, highly highly recommend coming here. If you do, ask for Yohanly!!!
Food was great, you can tell fresh home made authentic. But going on a Saturday at 5pm there was only 1 young kid doing everything- taking orders, serving, and cleaning. And it was obvious the kitchen probably had only one other person as our cachapa was rushed and mushy. They were overwhelmed dealing with dine in and pick up orders. We came here because of the insta advertising which clearly someone knows how to do well but they need to invest in having more people. I wanted to order a drink from the bar from what I saw online but the bar area seemed closed and counters were dirty. The last thing I was going to do was stress the poor kid out doing the best he could.
