The bake and shark was a good size and they had all the essential toppings available. Overall, it was enjoyable, but nothing spectacular either; the shark wasn't flavorful enough to stand alone. They had the longest line by far, despite everywhere around them also selling bake and shark. Locals seem to love this place. We waited at least 30 mins to order on a Saturday afternoon, but the food was ready within 60 seconds after we ordered. They are cash only, except for bottled beverages.. weird. The coconut water was clearly fresh though, and very good. They have plenty other drinks on menu (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and other fish options to go with the bake.. decent place! I'd eat it again, but probably worth trying somewhere else in the area instead of waiting in that long line.
This is a world renowned establishment in the Maracas Bay beach area that is famous for its bake and shark and the large variety of condiments one is able to add to the sandwich. I had a bake and shark with added pineapple, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and garlic sauce. The sandwich was tasty and condiments fresh and well stocked. The service staff was courteous and efficient. The outdoor seating area was well maintained. This is a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal served by friendly staff in a picturesque beach area.
