See All ReviewsOrdered to go through Uber eats. Ordered tampiqueña. Easy ordering and really good food! Gorditas are better fried 🫣 would try to go back again although they are a bit far from me but well worth the drive for traditional north Mex food. Guac, rice and beans were superb as well as their hot salsas.
Google maps took us to a abandon house. We where looking forward trying this place out. Hopefully we will find this place so i can leave a better review
We took my 3-, 5- and 10-year-old plus my mom and older son to this place today. The food was decent but nothing exceptional—flavors were fine, just not memorable. What stood out was the place itself; the décor was really interesting and the presentation of every dish was great, it looked like a nice virtual visit even while we were sitting there. My issue was the prices! kids plates: $8.99 each, and the portions were huge for kids that age. With three kids and my mom and son , we paid almost $100 total including the 15% tip charged. For that price I expected food that wowed us, not just good-enough tacos. It was a cool spot and the staff were friendly. The horchata was amazing and the coffee not bad but not what one expects of a cafe de la Hoya. I don’t think we’ll come back. If you have small kids, the portion size and price might make you think twice.
