The food has down grated. The first time food was awesome, make you smack your moma. This time, the potato salad was like he baked a potato and added mustard,onions,relish,etc and stuck it in a cup. I did not like the dark brown gravy on my turkey wings. It should have been a more chicken flavor gravy. But Those turkey wings he did not go wrong....but I highly recommend if you want a good southern home cook meal in Petersburg,VA....
When I was there it was takeout only. Neat atmosphere with all the Jazz memorabilia. The lady at the counter was very nice. I had the fish sandwich with Mac and cheese. It had two nice filets. The Mac and cheese was AWESOME. I was full, but it was too good to not eat. If you like a little spice with the fish, I'd suggest trying the rinkeydink sauce. Thank you for the great experience.
The food is delicious, my hat goes off to the cook, the owners are very nice and pleasant. Beautiful history in the cafe.
