Rio Izakaya was an absolute standout dining experience from start to finish. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and packed with incredible flavor. The Japanese oak Yakitori was perfectly grilled, smoky, tender, and seasoned just right, with that amazing charcoal flavor that makes great yakitori unforgettable. The dry aged fish sashimi platter was one of the most unique and impressive dishes of the night! fresh, rich, and incredibly balanced, with each bite showcasing deep umami and exceptional quality. The pork belly skewers were another favorite: juicy, flavorful, and melt in your mouth delicious with just the right amount of crispness. To finish, the Japanese cheesecake was the perfect dessert, light, fluffy, subtly sweet, and an ideal ending to such a memorable meal. A huge part of what made the evening so special was Giovanni, our server, who was absolutely great. Giovanni guided us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and excellent recommendations, helping us build the perfect meal. Their attention, knowledge, and warm hospitality made the entire experience feel elevated and personal. Rio Izakaya delivers on every level, outstanding food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back.
Ordered katsu, but it was served raw inside. They had already cut it before serving and still didn’t notice, which is really concerning. This is a serious food safety issue. Definitely not acceptable, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable coming back.
