We have been coming to this spot for the past year, it's ran by the sweetest people who make such a great classic donuts with good variety. They open on time and their value cannot be beat!
They are really sweet people! I drive across town just to go to this donut shop by my work. They are super sweet, friendly, and energetic. They are my go to place for burritos, kolaches, and donuts for various occasions. Their salsa is sweet and spicy. They do not disappoint. If you had a bad experience, go again, not sure why anyone would give them one star.
I usually stop in before Bible Study on Thursdays and Church Service on Sunday. The staff is wonderful and the donuts are fresh. I've never had the kolaches or breakfast burritos but have heard they're great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
BEST rise & shine in Lubbock hands down! Always fresh donuts and my breakfast burritos are always delicious. The staff are all so welcoming and it feels like family every visit! 10/10 highly recommended!
I used the drive-thru on a Saturday morning to get a couple of donuts and a kolache for my husband and me. I was waited on by two friendly young men who said they attended Texas Tech and were new to the business. Both young men were very professional and our food was delicious. I will be back.
I went in this morning to dine in, At first things seemed great until i heard how one of the employees was speaking to people. There was a family ahead of me and my family.. a little boy was trying to order his donuts. The employee yelled at him and said “i can’t hear you, if you want donuts you’re going to have to speak up” (he’s maybe 6 years old)… Then my husband started to check out and asks about a military discount. and she said “What do you mean military?”… We go to sit down and my toddler was climbing in and out of his seat (he’s 2 so i expect nothing less) I had been keeping a close eye on him to make sure he wasn’t making a mess on their glass, floor, etc. And she yells from over the counter “tell your kid to sit down” she shouldn’t be telling anyone how to parent their kids, especially because i was sitting right there and already communicating with my toddler to sit down, and not make a mess. And to yell at someone else’s kid while he’s trying to order donuts is BEYOND me! She’s lucky that wasn’t my kid in line.
The lady at the counter sounded like she didn’t like her job. Never had someone be so rude for no reason. I took my kids for donuts and she was not only rude to myself and my wife, but began talking to my children in a negative tone. What should have been a pleasant time with my family for a quick morning breakfast, was an awful experience I don’t ever hope to repeat. Very disappointing, lady. I hope she reads this and learns to work on customer service. She was the only white past we saw, so be mindful if she serves you.
I don't see how this place can get a one-star review. The staff is amazingly super friendly! And there's something about their donuts that taste just a little better. This is by far the best Rise and Shine Donuts in Lubbock!
