HORRIBLE "bar area" staff ... but Stellar restaurant area staff. CONCLUSION: don't eat in the "bar area." Everything, and I mean Everything is pre-made / pre-packaged ... yet the brisket is still good. And - it's actual meat, not some lab grown "meat sponge" I've had in other places. There's no "cheese-pull" on the mac-n-cheese since it's just cheese flavored "goo" on noodles out of a bag. They could do better, but I guess it's just corner-cutting economics. "Ritchie" has this corner of the world all sewn-up nicely, with the grocery (nice) liquor store (stocked) ice cream parlor (tasty) and restaurant (meh). I would DEFINITELY suggest it as a hotel stop for a long trip (nearby hotel is great) since all your needs / proclivities can be easily satisfied. just don't eat in the "bar area"
Great food. Great service. The brisket is delicious and tender. The sides are large. I had beer battered onion rings and a side salad. Both were delicious. Unfortunately the portions are so large, I had to take my salad with me. If you happen to be in the area, stop in, it's worth your time. They also have an ice cream parlor in the restaurant.
Wow! Not enough good I can say about this unsuspecting place. Market, restaurant, and state liquor store all on the same premise. That's not even the best part. The FOOD is something out of the taste bud world. Ordered the Triple Threat Mac n Cheese, Reuben, and side salad w Apple Vinaigrette. The portions aren't small by any means. Our server Nicole is a shining southern Ohio gal w accent and all. Charm, charisma, and you will always want her to be your server. Nothing disappointing about this place what so ever. They must be very popular w the locals because the place def gets foot traffic. Even we came from 3 hrs just to visit here, it won't be the last time I make the trek to enjoy everything about this place. You should try as well. Thank you Richie's and Nicole.
