See All ReviewsFood is a 1/10, the cornbread is the only thing on the plate that was pleasing, I will give them that. The rice was scorched, cabbage was OVERLY over cooked, curry chicken was decent but sides are the most important so I don’t believe I’ll be trying it again. Customer service was 8/10 the lady at the cash register was nice.
We arrived in the early afternoon to find the restaurant peaceful and empty. My spouse and I placed our lunch orders—he chose the curry goat while I opted for the jerk chicken, and we both tried the beef patties. The beef patties were quite enjoyable, and we appreciated the generous food portion sizes; it was definitely good value for the price. However, I found that the food lacked some of the authentic flavors I was hoping for, and unfortunately, a portion of both our rice was still undercooked. I think with a few adjustments, this place could really shine!
I love Jamaican food. But this place was different. The good the cabbage and corn was probably the best I've had. The mac & cheese also delicious. The oxtails however was very disappointing. They were extremely thin and lack any flavor. They seemed like they skipped all the seasons. Look how skimpy these are and the watered-down gravy. They are tender, but at this thin, how could they not be. With my disappointed however I will stop by again. But I definitely won't get oxtails.
