See All ReviewsI have been coming to Rosie’s for over 30 years. Same great service and amazing food! It is now only to go and has always been a cash only establishment.
You can only order to go. First time there, I thought bacon and egg would have been fresh strips, but was diced up crispy bacon bit. The bean and cheese was bland, no flavor to the beans. The flour tortillas were a 9 out of 10.
Unfortunately, this To-Go outlet closed 30 minutes early today. Maybe they had an emergency. A few reviews report that the tacos are too small. But, with respect to the prices and quality, seems to me: they are competitive. Of course, I haven't check them all here and in other restaurants nearby. I know Mexican cooking and culture... This outlet offers VERY GOOD COOKING - simple, traditional, but very good and tasty cooking. The money it saved by doing To-Go service, the customer gets in superior quality. I have bought tacos all around San Antonio, and here: I had the very best. The small stores and restaurants in this area that's lower-income and not on the (Southern) Military Drive have metal bars over the windows and doors. The photo here on Google Maps is obsolete. This restaurant no longer offers Dine-In, and for good reason. That's posted very clearly outside the restaurant. You might argue: "Why rest-au-rant if one won't be able to sit down and 'rest' inside?" Ok,... so it's no longer a rest-aurant. But in the future, it could offer the tables and chairs still inside. So, what do you want? 🤔 Good tacos? Or do you want good AC and a comfortable seat? If you are looking for the later, purchase food, and go sit in your car.
