It was such a sad day when the Corndog 7 closed in Lufkin Mall. I had heard they opened a food truck, but didn’t realize that it was called Royal Dog. I drive past last night on the way to the hotel and knew I had to stop today and try it. Everything is just how you remember. Perfect sweet flavored batter on the corn dog. Tasty melty cheese on a stick. The only thing missing is the lemonade. Glad to find this place for a bit of nostalgia when I’m in Lufkin.
