See All ReviewsI usually go around 12-1AM ‘cause my schedule. They have a white board menu to order from. Today I went around 8:AM there was no board. When I asked for the menu they first ignored me then laughed at me then told me the burritos weren’t free. I know that! They didn’t want to serve me. Super rude. Laughing at me the whole time I was trying to give them my business. I spent money at a mega-chain I would have preferred giving to a local business, but they didn’t want my money
Sabroso is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the El Centro neighborhood near the Mexican border to Juarez to get some basic Mexican food. Got a cheap chicken burrito for under $3. Food is displayed in the cases and you select what you want on your burrito. Burritos are not massive like Chipotle, more of a regular size. If you have a bigger appetite, I would recommend ordering two then. The staff there doesn't seem to speak much English, so it would help to know some basic Spanish when ordering. If you are looking for a cheap snack or meal while visiting El Centro, Sabroso fits the bill.
This is a food stand and store for snacks and drinks. They are open 24 hours a day. The burritos are $2 each and one is plenty for a normal appetite. I ate two but felt over full. They are on the spicy side for my gringo taste but not too hot to eat.
