The portions are way smaller than what’s shown on the menu. To make matters worse, almost every dish was burnt. The chicken yakitori was so tough it was inedible. Honestly the hardest yakitori we’ve ever had. We waited a long time for the extra noodles in our stew, but they still arrived undercooked and hard in the middle. There was only one server working, who spent the whole time chatting with others and ignored us every time we raised our hands for help. I can’t believe they expect a minimum 20% tip for this level of food and service. Total disappointment, will not be back.
I’ve never left a one-star review before, but this experience was so bad I had to. Honestly, the service here is a joke. Our server spent the entire hour and a half chatting with people at the bar and completely ignored our table. She wouldn't even look our way. The only way we could get anything—more water, napkins, whatever—was to desperately catch her during the few seconds she was actually dropping off a dish. If she wasn't serving a plate, we were invisible. The alternative was literally getting up and walking to the bar ourselves just to find her. Our empty plates stayed on the table the whole night. Zero effort, zero apology. The food was even worse than the service. The yakitori was burnt to a crisp and so dry it was like chewing on wood, and the cheese scallops were a total rip-off—they are clearly just those cheap, frozen pre-packaged ones you’d find at a grocery store. To top it off, the noodles in our stew weren’t even cooked through; they were literally raw. It’s way too expensive for this kind of "frozen food quality" and non-existent service. Avoid this place at all costs.
My top 4 k town eats here in the DMV. Great service great staff. Hayden was a cool guy. Chill guy. 100/10
