The Pros: The food was good and the portions generous. They brought soup while we were waiting for our food. The rest of our experience was not good. There was a language barrier but we pointed to what we wanted on the menu: $12 wrap with fries & a drink, $20 for meat with rice & a drink, and a sambusa for $2.50. The meat & rice was as expected. They brought 3 sambusas on a plate instead of 1. Instead of a wrap & fries, the plate had 2 flat breads folded into quarters and a serving of boneless, seasoned chicken pieces. I pointed back to the menu; the wrap was supposed to have several different vegetables in it, and the fries were missing. He brought me a little bowl of "salad" (lettuce & shredded carrots), figured the fries were coming. I made my own wrap with the chicken & salad. After a while, still no fries. I went & asked about the fries, and for some to-go containers for the leftovers. (we were traveling thru & needed to get back on the road!) He brought the fries & the containers to our table. We got the leftovers packed up & went to pay the bill. The guy rang the meat & rice as $22, the wrap as $20, and charged $6 for the sambusas. Not sure what else he rang up, but what should have been about $35, came to $57. We had to argue about what we ordered vs what they brought out, and the prices listed on the menu vs what he rang up. He was saying the menu prices are old. After much arguing he brought the price down. Unfortunately, wouldn't recommend, and definitely won't be back if we are ever in the area again.
A Somali coworker and friend suggested that I visit Sally's for authentic Somali cuisine and I can say that Sally's did not disappoint at all. I went there last minute with a big appetite and the owner and chef welcomed me and made it a great experience. Definitely recommend
Can’t wait to go back!!! Food is delicious!! Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. They take great pride in preparing their food and always offer service with a smile which I appreciate.
I stopped by Sally's Halal Grill yesterday and had an amazing steak with rice. It tasted great, and I really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind and stop by again next time I’m in Columbus!
Great halal option near the Easton area. Delicious orange sauce they put in their burritos. Can’t complain. Meat and veggies cooked just right. $7 is awesome for the burrito.
They serve halal Foods and Food Quality is good. Service and behaviour were also nice. We ordered one beef steak which came with half and half rice and pasta, and salad. Food quantity was more than enough for two people. Drinks were complimentary. Great experience!
Man o man , let’s just say I called at 4pm went to pick up at 4:30 pm and stayed Tim 4:45 pm the process to order I could scratch my eye balls out , barely speak English and the prices of the menu on the photos is not correct ! I went in and was completely ignored, no one wanted to help me but everyone talking. Rude for a business, AND FLOOR WAS DIRTY But the food was AMAZING ! 10/10 only got thing I got. Have time if you order , I would have who ever works get an English speaking person to answer !
I haven’t been to many Somalian restaurants, but the few that I have been to, this was super nice. Staff all welcoming and friendly, the food tasted good, not too spicy, slightly sweet. And good portions. Went there with family friends and definitely a comfortable dine in area. The dessert (I think it’s called malawax), was soooo delicious! 4 stars cause the service was a bit slow, but no worries, they’re new and just starting up. Definitely give this place a go! Will come again! Thank you
