Santa Barbara is an incredible spot for authentic Peruvian food right here in New Jersey! The flavors are rich, the portions are generous, and the Lomo Saltado and ceviche are some of the best around. The staff makes you feel right at home, and the prices are very fair for the quality and taste. If you’re in Belleville, Newark, or Bloomfield, make the trip — it’s worth it! I don't appreciate walking into a restaurant and being ignored by the waitress. The waitress told us she would take our order. Ten minutes pass by and the waitress still ignores me and my wife. The waitress made no eye contact and no gesture that she would be ready. After 14 minutes I told my wife that we should leave. The waitress, a full figured woman who wore jeans with long black hair tied in a ponie tail flat out ignored us as we walked out. She made no attemp lt to even ask us if everything was okay. I have eaten here before and never had an issue with the other waitresses. Im extremely disappointed because my wife and me love Peruvian food. We went online and found a fantastic place in North Arlington, NJ. If you want great food and respectful professional service, I recommend Myrna Peruvian restaurant in North Arlington NJ.
I do not recommend ceviche , not fresh, no tasty. It looks like they cooked 2 days ago.
Parking in this area is a total nightmare so thank God they have a little parking lot right next to it for their customers! Fantastic service, i wish I had gotten her name but our waitress was so attentive & super sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed while being patient with us. Loved herr i wish I had taken a pic of the food, it was half a chicken with french fries, rice with two sunny side eggs and sweet plantains. SLAPPEDD 🔥 My hubs got the spicy ceviche appetizer and he said it was exactly what he wanted, he also got half chicken and rice and beans for his entree, he said we're definitely coming back! Also they have an amazing bakery, i got the caramel filled crack powder cookies 🤣 (alfajores) and a Chantilly cake 🍰 I CAN'T WAIT but I'm so stuffed I have to wait lol
Googled and tried this restaurant around the area and it did not disappoint, very good portions and food was good as well, the young waitress on site was super nice and friendly. Ordered Lomo Saltado, arróz Chaufa, leche de tigre and papa a la Huancaína. They were all good and tasty. Well recommended.
Pollo a la braza was lacking quite a bit. Portion size is good but the potato and chicken needed to be cooked more and needed much more flavor. The picture is after I moved food around so ignore the presentation.
Had lunch at this place few days ago. The restaurant don’t have parking lot so we have to find parking on the street. Love the authenticity of their dish. All workers seems friendly and helpful. Place seems kind of a bit small for the amount of people that came to this restaurant. Waitress was running around and little hard to get her attention, probably they were short handed at the time or need more worker to handle customers. Overall was good.
I am very disappointed this used to be my go to place. Now, I would never go back!! I have been wanting the tallarín spaghetti (pesto spaghetti) for a while now. I finally decided to order and find a bugs head in my food. After the pandemic you guys have gone down hill. This order was in fact from your restaurant. I still have my receipt and other pictures without the ingredients you are referring to. Yes, the other ingredients were red pepper flakes that I added for my liking. Your establishment was in fact contacted and made aware of this. A manager was suppose to call me back and I never got a call. So, all though you may want to find reasons not to take accountability for this filth, that is the restaurants problem. I did everything a customer is suppose to do.
