Just hit up Sefa’s Kitchen for lunch—dropped around $28 on a spicy jollof rice plate with goat stew and a side of fried plantains. Let me tell ya, that goat was melt-in-your-mouth, spices on point. The server was super friendly, checked in on us, real genuine vibes. Cozy spot, chill neighborhood feel. Totally worth it—will be back soon!
If you're looking for an authentic African dining experience in Chicago, Sefa is the place to go! Having sampled food from almost every African restaurant in the city, I can confidently say Sefa's offerings are among the best. The food is delicious, well-portioned, and affordably priced."
Sefa’s kitchen is the absolute best! I’ve tried her waakye and jollof and the food is always A+ Customer service is also very great. Will continue patronizing.
Sefa’s hits hard. I grabbed the jollof rice with oxtail and it was bussin’—flavorful, tender, with that perfect little kick. Plantains on the side were crispy-sweet perfection. Super friendly folks behind the counter, too. Food was hot, fresh, and came out quick. It’s a small spot but full of heart. If you know, you know—this place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood.
One of the tastiest food I’ve tasted in Chicago! If you’re around definitely give her a trial you won’t regret it. The packaging and presentation of the food will make you salivate. Highly recommend
