See All ReviewsI found this place more than 10 years ago, moved out of the area, but because of personal reasons I go back to Northern Virginia every year, and every year I visit this place. The food quality has been through ups and downs, but this year it was great. We really enjoyed it. The fried spicy pork was so tender soft and delicious with lots of skin. The soondae was soft, lots of moisture and warm. The kimchi pancake was delicious as well. It exceeded our expectation. Hot tea was especially good to have at the end of the meal in winter time. We will keep going back to this place.
The food here is usually solid, but this visit was a bit frustrating. The soondae came out colder than expected, which really took away from the flavor and comfort of the dish. I was hoping for a warm, hearty bowl, so it was disappointing. The service was still friendly and the rest of the sides were good, but the temperature issue made the overall experience feel underwhelming. I’ll give it another try in the future, but this visit just didn’t hit the mark.
I would give this place zero star if I could. Waited an HOUR for a roll of kimbap, the LONGEST I waited for kimbap in my life. They were too busy serving others to care about my order, yet wont tell me so I was just sitting waiting (if they told me I would've cancelled my order) When they finally gave me kimbap, it was so mediocre, that honestly $6 kimbap in hmart taste better (and you can get that one in 1 min) AVOID this place if you are going for a quick bite, cause it definitely wont be quick.
