I order for the first time today and I was very skeptical about ordering because I read some of the reviews. I said just give it a chance everybody tast buds are different. When opened the container I knew something was gonna be wrong the macaroni and cheese was horrible it looked like they cooked it early this morning and it sat around all day. The fish was fishy tasting and not good, however I was able to enjoy the yams. This was a waste of money, I won't be back!!!
For amazing soul food in Wilmington, this is the spot. Couldn’t take any photos of the food, I ate it so fast. The half and half combo with chicken and fish was heavenly. The collard greens and potato salad were divine, with a bit of sourness in both that cut through the fried goodness on my plate. Friendly staff and be patient with them, the food is made to order so don’t be rushing the process.
Im sorry but the Mac N Cheese was not mackin. Idk what that was but that was NOT soul food mac. Tasted like some sort of Kraft or Velveeta powder mix. I can tell because i had a bit of powder chunks that didnt dissolve. Thats perfectly fine if you are no mac n cheese expert, but I would even just take it off the menu rather than serve some brand you bought at Walmart. On a positive note, the people seemed nice and the ambiance was unique. Too bad for that mac tho.
