See All ReviewsWe took a mixed plate and lentil soup. The meat Swawarma is absolutely delicious, it melts in your mouth and the chicken was also delicious. You get a serious quantity of food for the mixt plate, I'd say about 4 lbs including rice, potatoes, hummus, salad, pickled végés, tahini and garlic mayo. So you don't only get a massive quantity of food but it's delicious, definitely the best I've had in Ottawa. The lentil soup was great, tastes exactly like my aunt and Dad used to make. I was so impressed by the qty of food that I forgot to take a picture, noob 😂, but the picture included is after serving my wife and myself and more than halfway through the two plates. We had food for 3 meals not counting the soup. 2 drinks, large lentil soup and a mega mixed plate, not the family platter, for $45. 100% recommended! So what are you waiting for? Go out and enjoy a delicious meal! The staff are all awesome, so friendly and they made us feel like family. Thanks!!!
My family is a shawarma fiend, we get it every month from shawarma palace on bank or the carling location We wanted to try something new and I’ve seen this place blow up on IG so I’m like let’s give it a try. I walk in, nice friendly hospitality and I see everyone with their plates filled to the brim so I was excited. Then ordered a mixed family meal for 5. Never in my life have I been so disappointed with shawarma in my life, every single one of it regrets it. 100.25$, wasted, it tasted like it’s worth 60$ tops. In a family platter I expect at least decent quantity of food. I COULDVE GOT 2 PLATES AND GOTTEN MORE CHICKEN THEN WHAT THEY GAVE ME IN A FAMILY PLATTER. Half full chicken and beef, but they loaded salads and potatoes. IN A FAMILY PLATTER THE MAIN COURSE IS THE MEATS, the salad was blank, rice was bland, potatoes was bland, in a 88$ item,I don’t understand how. it could’ve been redeemed with maybe more quantity but I feel like another other shawarma place would treat family platters with more care Everything was bland compared to palace, the garlic was the only thing that tasted seasoned, and that tasted so sour. I would give them another shot but I came all the way from Orleans to try this, and it is not worth 100.25$ for this rubbish frankly. My money will stay at shawarma palace from now on
Make a plan before you go… are you splitting or planning for 2 or 3 meals? The portions are outstanding. Everything tastes fresh. Seasoned chicken and even the slaw came with some peppery flavour. Unlike most Toronto Shawarma, here you get real velvety garlic, smooth hummus, pillowy rice and potatoes. If you’re not sharing, here is the move. One meal turned into Shawarma Chicken Salad and the other Shawarma Chicken on Rice/potatoes. $24 > 3 flavourful meals > “Home” cooked meal vs. Fast food which is more expensive. I drove 25 minutes to get it, and drove 25 minutes back to where I was staying, so it was sitting hot in the container but the salad was so fresh, wasn’t wilted… so good.
