a month agoThis is the best Shawarma that I’ve had in over a year while living in Hampton Roads area. The Baklava was also amazing. Definitely coming here regularly now!

a month agoThe Palestine Cola, the olive tree by the door, the kind man behind the counter, and the beautifully presented Turkish coffee…all had me emotional enough to shed some tears at the table. The lamb shawarma was not only delicious but also very aromatic. The coffee was the best I’ve ever had. The customer service makes you feel welcome and warm. I can’t wait to return to support! In a time where the dollar seems to hold less and less value, spend your money where the love is so apparent. Thank you Shawarma & Things!!

a month agoI've never had better shawarma. This is by absolutely one of the best meals I've had while traveling throughout the United States and the Middle East. Every dish is prepared in-store. Well done. The owner also is a US Navy Vetran. 🥰🥰 definitely will dine here again.

2 months agoThe food was delicious! Took me back to Turkey and eating the shwarma wraps there! So yummy. The staff was very kind, even with us coming in 30 minutes before they closed. With it being so late, they were out of lamb for the day. We will definitely be back!

2 months agoA true hidden gem in a strip mall off the highway when looking for halal food on the road. It's nicely furnished with simple decor and spacious booths. The food is delightful, hot and fresh with a simple menu that avoids decision fatigue and keeps quality over quantity. The staff is respectful, kind, and patient. I highly recommend for anyone who wants a great authentic shawarma experience and will definitely come again if every in the area again.

7 months agoFirst time checking out Shawarma & Things and I would totally give it a 10/10. Not only is everything beautiful but it was all made fresh to order. I got lamb shawarma, falafel, hummus, and some Turkish delights. They even gave me a complimentary hot tea that they recommended I enjoy with the falafel. Loved everything!!

8 months agoThis is honestly one of the best chicken shawarmas we’ve had in Hampton Roads. The wrap is super juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly pressed on the grill, which gives it that amazing texture. We’ve tried a lot of shawarmas around here — and even in the Middle East — and this one definitely ranks at the top for us. Their lamb sharwarma is also very good! The restaurant is spotless and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. We used to grab their food from the food truck before, so we were really excited when we found out they opened a permanent spot here in Janaf Shopping Center. If you’re in Virginia Beach or Norfolk and craving real, authentic shawarma, this is the place. One small suggestion: it would be great to see ayran on the menu — it would pair perfectly with the shawarma! Definitely a go-to for us!
