For our main courses, we ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the cheese sambosa, and every single bite tasted amazing. The shawarma was perfectly seasoned and the sambosa was wonderfully crisp, with deeply authentic flavors that instantly transported us back to our balad. It is rare to find a kitchen that hits the mark this perfectly. The service was top tier being treated with upmost respect, we were all breaking our fast at the same time yet the hosts made sure we had everything first before they broke theirs.
This is hands down the best beef shawarma I’ve had in the Tampa area. I normally order chicken everywhere I go (not just here) because it’s always my go to, but this time we decided to try both the beef and the chicken, and the beef truly did not disappoint. It was incredibly tender, not hard to chew and cooked to perfection. Of course, the chicken was just as delicious as expected. I highly recommend trying both! Don’t forget to ask for the pomegranate molasses and, of course, the garlic sauce, they take the shawarma to the next level.
The customer service here is a joke. We waited 30 minutes for two shawarma sandwiches, which is already ridiculous. We asked if pickles came with the shawarmas to which the guy at the counter said yes but only if we were eating there. Doesn’t make sense if I’m literally paying the same amount to dine in and also to go if the dish comes with the vegetables. I asked if they could made the order to go with the vegetables and because of that they refused to put the food in a proper container just to accommodate some vegetables?? Instead, they placed the food on a plate covered with plastic wrap even when I told them I had a 40 min drive ahead of me. They clearly had to go boxes, just out right refused to pack the food in them or give them to us to pack up our food. Even customers that were DINING IN had their food in takeaway boxes. The guy helping us was rude and lacked professionalism. He wouldn’t even hand me a to-go container to move the food myself. On top of that, the sauce was already dumped all over the food and pickles before I even walked out, so by the time I got home it was a soggy mess. Food was very mid and I will tell everyone to avoid this spot in the future.
