Glad I accidentally placed an order at this place when they first opened up, have been coming back to this place since it's inception and haven't even thought of going anywhere else. Great pricing, all the people that work there are super nice and definitely will recognize a familiar face even after only a couple visits.

9 months agoShawarma Plus is hands down my favorite restaurant for Middle Eastern food, and really my favorite restaurant overall in Washtenaw County. We get it almost once a week and it never disappoints. I’m obsessed with the mixed shawarma sandwich and the tabbouli salad. The flavor combinations in the shawarma are so delicious and more flavorful than shawarmas I’ve had in the past. Another thing I appreciate about the shawarma sandwich is that the pita bread does not get soggy. I hate when I order a shawarma sandwich for takeout and it’s drenched in grease and sauce by the time I get home. The shawarmas from Shawarma Plus don’t suffer from this problem. The pita bread stays dry, fresh, and soft despite being stuffed with chicken, steak, veggies, garlic sauce, and tahini. The tabbouli salad is the perfect way to balance out the meal with something fresh. Shawarma Plus is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall hidden gem. I love the food here so much. I can’t recommend enough. Sending a heart-felt thank you to the owners/chefs for sharing their delicious food with us!

a year agoFood - 10/10 Service - 12/10 Atmosphere - it's a liquor store lol you're there for the food. This is an absolute GEM, I've lived in this area for a couple years, and I'm just now finding this place. It's the food you want, portions are great. I spoke with the owner and he is the man, he just wants people to like this food, and you can tell this store is his passion. Don't let the location fool you, there is no dine in, but that shouldn't stop you. The garlic is on point, I ordered a large one, and it was a TON, and the prices are great.

a year agoI took one bite and almost forgot I wanted to take a picture for reviews... The chicken Shwarma is by far the best I've had! It was hot and delicious! Garlic sauce was best I've ever had! And the owner is so nice! When you see the location you wouldn't think it delivered on flavor but it is most definitely a hidden gem!

2 years agoThis is the best place ever. I’m not sure if it’s the owner or the employee, the guy there was extremely nice. Even though the order took a little longer than said, the service and food was one of the best I’ve encountered. Super super super great service!!! The shawarmas I got were so tasty and everyone also loved them.

Edited 6 months agoIt’s been over a year since I left my initial review, around the time this place first opened. My wife and I still order from here all the time. This isn’t a fine dining place. You’re not dressing up, there’s no dining room, no tables, nothing fancy. In fact, it's just a small kitchen inside a convenience store. Innocuous. Subtle. Unassuming. But this small kitchen has been making the best Mediterranean food in Ypsi since they opened. This spot is the true definition of a hole-in-the-wall. No flashy signs, no gimmicks, no tables or chairs. You’re not here for ambiance. There are no expectations, and that’s the beauty of it. Just a tiny kitchen, tucked away, putting out food that makes you feel good.. And that’s why we keep coming back.
