Wonderful catered dining experience! Remarkable encounters with staff at various locations across campus!
Tonight was my final straw. I waited an hour for my order from B+F (Burgers + Fries) which is the ONLY food place open after 8pm. Others waited longer, and some got their orders in 15min because they couldn't keep track of the orders. While waiting, I heard several other students complaining about the lack of the food options on campus. They ran out of fries, and they ran out of chicken earlier in the week too. The food is average at best, and it's overpriced. The meal swipe is $6.40 so of course, if you want a sandwich AND fries (a meal) it's over that, and you have to spend flex. The only food places doing meal deals now are the sub shop and Reisner Dining Hall. Even the "famous" Raider Bowl doesn't have a drink with the meal swipe now. That's just B+F. They closed PizzaHut, Kriner Dining Hall, a pasta place, etc so the food options have been super limited this year. Likely due to covid and staffing. But what food places remain are still not good, even with the limited hours now. Some of the staff are super friendly, and others (like night shift at B+F) are very rude. The menu at Reisner Dining Hall has been lackluster for the past three years. If you come to Ship, don't come for the food. It's average on the best days, and inedible on the worst.
