See All ReviewsI bought a Groupon for this Shogun to use while on vacation in Michigan. I had read a lot of reviews online. Most find the food to be good but sometimes the service lacking. I wasn’t sure what to expect. The hibachi chef we had was wonderful. He put on a small show for us while cooking and was smiling and talking. The 2 waitresses and hostess we had were all prompt and friendly. There was another group of people at a different hibachi grill. I was glad we didn’t sit there. The young chef was not talkative nor did he interact with his guest. I don’t think I heard him say anything the entire time he was cooking. Nor did he ever smile. So we had a great time, the portions were large and tasted great. But the other table probably didn’t feel the same. Bottom line, foods great and service is great if you get the right hibachi chef.
My suggestion stay away. Not worth your time not worth your money. Got a Groupon read the fine print about the 18% didn't realize they're going to charge me for the whole meal not the 18% after the 60 for the Groupon so actually it cost me more money to use the Groupon.. put it on Groupon as a service charge put it on the bill is gratuity and I'm not just saying this because of that the service was hideous horrible they couldn't speak English they didn't understand anything they got everything wrong me and my wife and child and the other two couples we had no idea who they were we just met him there we were sat with them all agreed we would never set foot in this place again everything was rosh their food was Bland not well seasoned the teriyaki sauce they put on the chicken was revolting nobody would eat it. We had to ask for everything he cooked all the food and then offered the sauces for the food after he was done and leaving. So do yourself a favor go someplace else.
Routine hibachi place. Food was decent and the service was good considering we were in a large party. They did the typical show, but not many tricks. The portions were good, so the food for the price was average. Also, slightly lower stars for limited selection of sake. No beer on draft, but had all the imports you'd expect. There's better hibachi in the area, but this is not a terrible option.
