The poke was UNREAL! I told my friend, "I haven't had poke this good since I was in Hawaii," and she mentioned that the menu says their fish is flown in from Hawaii (fresh, never frozen)I knew my taste buds would never lie lol you can taste the quality and the love put into their food! I see people complaining about the prices but the quality is there, TRUST! We had the Spicy Kilauea poke and the freshie poke as well as the pork Kimchi musubi and kimchi cucumber
I had the joy of dining at Side of Aloha tonight and every bite was better than the last. The food was unbelievably good and I loved the atmosphere. The service was quick and attentive and I wish I lived in the area because I would eat here all the time if I could. The owners are both Hawaiian and you can tell how much love and care they have put into this restaurant. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm visiting the SLC area.
We’ve been hearing about Side of Aloha from friends (Lani specifically) and tried it tonight. The food was amazing everything we tried was above expectations! We ate ‘family style’ and Furikake fries, tempura shrimp, sweet steak, Furikake chicken, and crack mac were all delish! Even ordered the smash burger off the secret menu which they cut to make it a shareable. Will definitely be back!
