The food was nice and fresh. The oxtail were good and melt in your mouth. The rice and peas actually had flavor to them and were really good.
Ehh honestly it’s nothing to brag about it’s not great but not the worst. I got an oxtail plate with, rice and peas(beans), and Mac and cheese. The oxtails were tender, rice was cooked well and Mac and cheese cooked el Dente but no real flavor to anything and the Mac and cheese is pretty dry. The oxtails looked like they’d be seasoned and taste good but they only tasted lik they used a lot of pepper but that’s really it! Portion sizes are good but if the food isn’t flavorful what’s the point? I felt like it was a waste of money but it was edible so I guess it is what it is but I probably will try elsewhere next time. I have Caribbean food very often and this just didn’t make the cut.
Great service! The young lady at the register was super helpful with recommendations. And the food…AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and stop by this hidden gem.
