5 months agoYesterday was my first time going here I'm now from this area. It is a small carry out, no seating for eating there. The food was cooked perfectly, I had an order of fish and an order of chicken gizzards. Generous portions, and these are items I would never attempt to fry for myself. My advice: CALL IN YOUR ORDER! They are very busy and it is now a big place. If you call it in, they will tell you how long it will take for your order. There are lots of people there for Carry out and it does take time to take care of them all. Be patient, it is worth the wait. Also worth the wait because the prices are modest. I will definitely be going again before I leave the area.

8 months agoLoved this spot since I an hour I don’t make it there often. So today was a disappointment my fish was fried so hard. Soon as I picked the fish up it crumbled. Usually the fish is fried to perfection maybe cause it’s been awhile, I don’t remember it being like this. Makes me not want to go back 🥹

a year agoThis may be the worst $6.41 I’ve ever spent. I ordered the gizzard dinner(maybe 10 gizzards), asked for them to be cooked soft, but they were fried hard. Look/taste like the oil needs to be changed. I honestly hate giving bad reviews but if I’m paying for service make sure it’s delivered top tier. Please do better….

2 years agoThis was the first time we ordered from this place. The food was cooked fresh on order. Because of this the wait time was a little longer than expected. The food was so delicious though. The chicken was juicy and the seasoning was amazing. We ordered an 8 piece mixed chicken, fried mushrooms, breast lunch, and fish and shrimp dinner. The fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly as well. I was surprised about the size of the chicken in our order. You don’t expect it because the packaging looked so small. But the chicken was huge. I will definitely come back to this place to eat again!! The fried mushrooms were great as well. It has been hard to find good fried mushrooms. The only issue was that some mushrooms were over seasoned. It wasn’t to big of a deal to lower my rating of this review. We forgot to take pictures of the breast lunch and mixed chicken, but here are the other two.

Edited 9 months agoThis is a great place. It's inside a strip mall off Hwy 41. It's been here for many years and is ALWAYS hot and delicious. I love their whiting sandwiches for lunch and the chicken is seasoned and juicy hot for dinner. The folks are down home and very friendly too. See you soon. 🤓

Edited 5 years agoMy second visit. Service is on the slower side so order in advance. Hot sauce $0.31 per small cup... and I don't eat tartar sauce. Locals love this place so be prepared for a wait. Update... absolutely love this place... the catfish and that fried chicken is heaven sent. I am sensitive to greasy food but I have no issues eating here. I think it is due to the clean grease. Either way I am a huge fan and make a stop EVERYTIME I am in Perry. Must visit.

8 years agoThis is a small, take-out only place for fried chicken and fish with you typical sides of fries, coleslaw, etc. An associate raved about the chicken, saying that it was the best around. I was in the area and decided to try the chicken. The chicken was good, but I was most impressed by the the crunchiness of the skin of the chicken. Chicken was tasty with their special seasoning. I thought that is was pricey, a little. All in all, I'd purchase again.
