We had high hopes because we're fans of the other Ardor restaurants and we were not disappointed. If you know Ardor, you'll recognize some faces, which we found to be a good sign. Ardor has a way of doing things and that same ethos is evident here too. The service was friendly and very attentive. We had the crab cakes, the house rolls with honey butter, the steak frites, the duck breast, the macaroni gratin, and we shared the baked Alaska and the skillet cookie for dessert. Everything was excellent. The cocktails were excellent too. A couple of notes: Our waitress told us that the dishes were meant to share, similar to Ardor's format, but looking at the menu, it didn't really seem like that. We decide to go with our guts when we ordered the entrees and each order one. When they arrived, the plates weren't prepared in anyway that indicated they were intended for sharing. 🤷🏼♂️ This is a take on a steak house. The menu is hearty and there are not a lot of vegetarian options. Be prepared to spend. The food was excellent but this place is NOT cheap. Strictly special occasions for us. All in all, this is a very impressive restaurant. A lot of restaurants are rough in the first few weeks they're open but Sloane hit the ground running. Thanks to the Sloane staff for the excellent night out!
