I’ve been on the hunt for some vegan burgers for some time… But they’re, sadly, nonexistent in Brownsville. And the veggie burgers I’ve tried at other places have been chafas. (Most restaurants just slap a Gardein veggie patty on a bun and call it a day). So I was surprised and delighted when I discovered there were vegan burgers in the valley at Smash Bros… And they did not disappoint!! I got the slider trio with one of each. The habanero one was too spicy for me… But my hubby, who can drink a bottle of salsa with every meal, loved it. The other two were perfect. Loved the waffle fries and sweet potato fries as well. And when they missed the tots in our 1/2 waffle fries, 1/2 tots order… They quickly got us some tots to add to the order. Great service and the woman who took our order was friendly & helpful. Honestly, some of the best vegan burgers I’ve tried. Really impressed. And will be back, for sure!
I'm reading all the reviews and it seems like this place does well sometimes but not today. As for me, this was my first and last experience here. The service wasn't that great plus the burger was mediocre. If it wasn't for the ketchup and pickles, this burger would have not had flavor. I bought 2 number ones and it sucks that the drinks are sold separately..I paid 31 bucks in total and it was a waste of my money. The lettuce was so wet that my burger buns got soggy so quick. The burgers I make taste so much better. The only thing I enjoyed were the tater tots, they were fresh and crispy. If I could rate this place zero stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. The pic I took of the burger and tots looks good, until I picked up the burger and the bottom bun went to shit!
I ordered through DoorDash and it was amazing. I ordered the vegan smash burger and it tasted like the real thing :) Thankful for vegan options for actual vegans and those with allergies/intolerances to red meat like me! I can’t say what the actual place is like though.
