Calling that man of mascot, sometimes it Be Your Own Kind. If it wasn't for Walter it wouldn't be a Smokehouse, that was his idea. It was Walter (The Chef) recipes. It was him that went viral. It was Walter that brought people from all across the United States to try that barbecue. And no he didn't give him anything, what he did was try to file a license for tenderism in his name only...smh
Had dinner here and it was amazing. The brisket was tender and full of flavor and the BBQ sauce had just the right kick. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was great and it’s easily one of the best halal BBQ spots I’ve tried.
Very tender - chicken, lamb and beef. The "smokiness" was missing and the beef didn't have the pink color beneath the outer layer. The pitmaster needs to experiment with the smoke (or try different wood species and rub). Would I have it again? In a heartbeat but would like to see improvements under the "lessons learned" category put to practice by the pitmaster. The fixins' were largely forgettable.
