The meats are seasoned well. Especially the catfish and smothered pork chops. I wasn't too keen of the mac n cheese, cabbage and dry, unsweetened corn bread. They have these new "red lobster biscuits." I didn't quite like those either but give the sides a try. Your taste buds may be different than mine. The catfish and grits are yummy!
TERRIBLE! There was nothing pleasant about my visit. The food, customer service and decor was awful . The waitress was a short haired blonde lady with an awfully fake attitude. Nothing was genuine. I ordered salmon Benedict and it was bland yet nasty. It came with hash browns which were also awful and left a weird after taste. My granny had chicken and waffles and the seasoning on the chicken was good but not cocking was undercooked.
Was not impressed at all. We made a last minute decision for soul food. Fried chicken had no flavor. The yams tasted as if from a can with no extra seasoning. The cook admitted using a new seasoning in the flour only. Chicken needs seasoning...not just the flour. Another client complained as well. This new restaurant has a long way to go! I miss Kountry Kitchen in Indy!!!
