This was as good stop for a cup of coffee while waiting for a flight. The place was clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was able to get a quick cup of coffee which was tasty and hot. Much better than a Starbucks which is the standard a most places like this.
Food is pretty good when it eventually arrives although the menu is less healthy and unrecognizably different than non-airport Southern Grounds locations. Slow and weird service (e.g., a request to restock the empty napkins went unfulfilled for 15 minutes… everyone in the restaurant did without until then. Trash cans were all overflowing.)
I had a cup of coffee at this location ( Did I pay for the coffee or who invited me and paid for is besides the point) It tasted ok at first but after a few minutes my mouth started tingling and my tooth filing felt like burning with a soure bad taste in my mouth. About 2 min later the filing of my tooth fell out. I mean it was so strange.. . So I went to the counter and I told the girl if I could switch it with an orange juice..she said no. . I was in pain with my feeling fallen out.,.. to do any kind of dental work is very expensive ..so I took the orange juice and a kitcat chocolate Bar and drank the juice and ate the kitcat while sitting at a table. The black girl stared yelling you have to pay, and I said ok. But first you pay me $600 to fix my tooth.. .. all hell broke loose with that said.. She called the police.. 2 big Guerilla type heavy police men attacked me while sitting down at the restaurant and arrested me without reading my rights in front of everyone and took me inside their barracks. Where I was put down with one police roughing me up by making the hand coffs so tight that it cut right through my wrist causing severe oain..in their bathroom.. I was charged with trespassing and theft. I was jailed and released the next day.. with having to pay restetuion. God have mercy on all those innocent people that are put in prison with bogus charges. I plan to bring a huge lawsuit against the Jacksonville airport authority and this Shop that for $5 bill dispute ,they caused massive emotional and physical damage to me as well as tarnishing my reputation by trespassing me at the airport where I had legitimate business at an airline .
