Well, I chose this spot for it's proximity to Whiskey Springs ATV trails. Based on the pictures and previous reviews I did not have very high expectations . This place may have been a nice place in it's day, but now seems like a broken down local dive bar that happens to rent rooms. I booked for 3 nights but wound up staying only two. The rooms were dated and wreaked of mixture of pot and cigarettes. Literally took my breath away the minute I opened the door. Surprisingly, they were fairly clean but smelled god awful. The lack of a smoke detector in the room was also quite concerning as well. I doubt the town is checking in on this place. The people below our room were drunk, loud and obnoxious till about midnight and made it really hard to sleep. The bar area was old and not well stocked, didn't even have Vodka. We had a bite to eat and kept it simple with burgers and wings which were ok. Service was very slow as they barely have anyone working there. After some friendly conversation, we heard that the place is for sale and the people currently running it don't seem to care much about it and probably just letting it go to crap. Overall, this place is pretty terrible, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many options in the area of Renovo PA. This place really could be a great spot with the proper owners. Overall, if you just want a cold beer on the cheap, stop in. If your looking for a decent place to stay with good food and service, look elsewhere.

I stopped here 4th of July. The room is clean, a/c is cold, shower is hot(& clean) , the price is right ( pay cash) and people are friendly. Golden spot to rest and refresh.

Is this the cleanest, most modern hotel room you'll ever get? Heck no. Is it the best, fanciest food you'll ever eat? Negative. (Chicken wings were outstanding, though!) Is it an affordable option in the heart of some of the best motorcycle roads you'll ever ride that beats the heck out of a tent and serves warm food and cold beer right downstairs? Yes, it is. I've enjoyed riding motorcycles in this area for a couple of decades and usually make a reservation before leaving. I decided to wing it this time. I was very pleased to roll into Renovo without a reservation and find an available room for less than I often pay for dinner and drinks. There is a grocery store and gas within minutes. The water is hot in the shower. The room was clean enough. If you're swinging though and need a cheap room you can do a lot worse than the Sportsman's Hotel!
