See All ReviewsI don’t know if I came on a bad day but the food was not good very spicy the pickliz did not smell fresh the meat was dry the marinad was overly spicy . There was only 4 pieces of meat for $22
So I came all the way from Boston to try this restaurant. And it didn't disappoint. The food was so good it was like home-cooked food while being away from home. The meat was well seasoned and tender. I enjoyed the food so much that I had to save the rest to prolong my enjoyment. The love, the seasonings, and the pepper were all palpable. Well worth the drive, or stop in if you are ever driving in that direction. I forgot to add the owner and staff were so kind. I was so eager to eat that we ended up eating in the restaurant, and Sr. Marie brought out more food for us to try, everything tasting better than the next. I had the fried beef with white rice & black beans. I highly recommend people to check out Sr. Marie. Oh, and I can't forget the soursop drink. That was so refreshing.
Holy smokes. My husband and I stopped in after moving all day because we needed a hearty meal. We got the stewed chicken and it was to die for. It came with a HUGE serving of rice, fried plantains, and some pickled slaw. The stew sauce with the rice was so good. We came back the next day and got it again but instead of the black mushroom rice, we tried the white coconut rice with black beans. Yummmmm. The passion fruit juice is super fresh and refreshing too. Highly suggest. What a great local place.
