I lived in North Carolina for 8 years when I was in college and then the Army. I miss the BBQ living there but this was some of the best since I lived in NC. Its always these roadside stands that have the best BBQ.
The food is outstanding BBQ a brisket is not easy to cook and they crushed it. Highly recommend... he is selling out of a tent for now. However very polite. This reminds me of a good old BBQ from the south...
So good! Will definitely be coming back!
Spur of the moment decision to stop for BBQ and so glad I did! It’s a “blink and you’ll miss it” location but delicious food and great service! PLENTY of meat on the Quesadillas and the grilled cheese! Reasonable prices. Very friendly! Venmo or cash only, no cards. Takeout only, no tables (at least in January). Will drive out of my way to try other menu items, it’s that good!
Presently, this place is being run from a pop up tent in the gas station lot, but heading indoors soon, to the small bldg next door to the gas station. I’ve had their brisket multiple times, minus both sauces, and it’s really good! They typically have sides, which change each time I stop. I’ve also gotten their Rueben. Depending on who’s making it, determines its size, but mine was amazing. In the end, these guys are going to do very well when they settle into a building, then they’ll see how popular they become.
Best BBQ around. Their homemade BBQ sauce is the best I've ever had. Heard they bought the building next door and are currently doing renovations. Definitely recommend this place!
These guys have the most amazing food. Everyone is very nice. The food is very filling and will leave you 100% satisfied. I love the pulled pork with the coleslaw however they usually have a bunch of tasty options.
Stopped at a food truck I have seen at the gas station ( cheapest gas in the area btw), and decided to give it a try. I got a breakfast sandwich which he apparently recently added to his menu options. I will return to try the BBQ or ribs or chicken... The owner was super friendly, not intimidating for this old gal to check out😉. The sandwich came on a potato roll, 2 eggs topped with cooper cheddar cheese, sliced bacon , all made on the grill. It was wrapped in foil and came with a bottle of water( maybe his kindness, not certain if it always does). That was $7.00. So I would not get the bacon- it was very chewy and so not enjoyable. Maybe a bit $$. I look forward to trying the barbecue which apparently runs $15-$20.
