Stopped in for Saturday night date. Thought was a little odd that is was not busy but decided to try anyway. Dining room is definitely old school with Tiffany style lamps and little booths. Was enjoying something non chain for a few minutes. Before we ordered, a woman who we presumed to be a customer got into a very LOUD argument with her son (?). We could barely hear ourselves discussing menu options. We kept looking over at the table. We almost left because we couldn't figure out why management didn't say something. After sitting and eating for a while, we realized that the lady was management. (Dark thick hair with leopard print outfit, sitting in table by cashier). It's a shame because this place could be a real nice break from the commercial in and out chain restaurants. Paid 40 dollars for a loud tense meal no tvs, no music just drama. Do better.
Now this is an old school Diner experience. Great atmosphere and service with even better food. If you’re looking for a casual laid back dinning experience, this is the place. The staff is welcoming & friendly. The Food was perfect, classic American menu. Burger, Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, pancakes, you name it. Top off your meal with a fresh brewed coffee and the best slice of apple pie I’ve had in a long time. They just don’t make great places like this anymore!
The Cuban sandwich was delicious, I got full so I had to take it to go. The pork chop and the potato salad was also delicious. Definitely worth it and recommended. It's quiet and cozy. The food was quicker than I expected. My mother loved the decor and stain glass lamps. The sprite was actually better than any other I've tasted so far. Local people and looks like most of them know each other and our waitress was really kind. This has become our favorite spot, plus it's right next to the water. Lovely service!!
